To join a small family business in East Sussex who make and design British handmade leather bags and accessories. The company has been in business for the last 30 years, making and designing for the retail market and has extensive knowledge of making and designing high quality leather bags for a niche market.
The appropriate candidate must have the following skills
- To have a good understanding of handbag construction
- To be competent working on an industrial leather sewing machine
- To be highly skilled in leather bench work
- To work on their own and part of a team
- To have knowledge of basic pattern cutting but not essential
- To have the ability to cut the templates for the bags if required, but not essential
- To be adaptable within the working environment
- To have a UK driving licence and transport but not essential
Salary to be discussed depending on the right candidate.
